This series of illustrations are named Penelope after Odysseus’ 10-year journey from the battle of Troy home to his waiting queen Penelope. Along the way he encountered all manor of characters, and experienced every emotion known to man.
These emotions are what inspired each of the suits. Ambiguous and complicated. This box was hand crafted from the rescued mahogany bannister post of a manor house in the Royal County of Berkshire. The box is minimalistic but incorporates practical features such as the front window and a finger hole underneath to easily eject the cards. The item was finished off in natural beeswax and dispatched in recycled plastic-free packaging.
